Animals aren’t so different than us.

They have needs, aspirations, disappointments, fears, and things that bring them joy. They may not speak English, but we talk to them all the time anyway. Why? Because we somehow know they are listening to us. What if you could listen to them with the same level of sensitivity? You can learn to talk to your animals, and more importantly, hear what they have to say in return.

The way you communicate with your animals is far more natural than verbal communication. It’s based in feeling, sensation, and empathy. There’s a real science behind how animal communication works and it’s something you already know how to do. Once you make it conscious, it’s easier to talk to animals than you think.

Animal communication is not mystical. It has a lot to do with how sound waves and other subtle frequencies interact with living tissues. Ambient sound from the environment around you can give you clues to the animal’s experience. If you are poised and quiet, listening with your whole body, you may be able to feel the way the sound reflects off the animal’s body, which will give you information about what the animal is feeling.

The FlowState Tuning Method allows us to get far more specific than just using ambient sound waves for gathering information while also relaxing the tissues in our own bodies. This helps us become better leaders, as the animals are attuned to our state, and also helps us become better listeners to our animal’s non verbal communication.

There’s a lot you could do with a skillset like that.

I’ve assisted a distraught owner at the end of her rope in identifying the food behind her dog’s ongoing stomach problems, helped sick and aged dogs, cats, and horses cross the rainbow bridge gracefully, worked with demoralized trail ride horses to help them regain their spirit, and comforted jaguars that were rescued from the exotic animal trade. I have worked with sheep that were fearful after a move into a new pen, helped a frustrated emu get unstuck from a fence, and even worked with a Jackson’s Chameleon until he went back to a nice, relaxed green color.

I’m also the breeder behind Luminous Silken Windhounds, a kennel that aims to produce puppies that are unusually empathic, intuitive, and skillful at communicating with humans. I suppose you could say we are teaching animals to be human communicators as much as teaching humans to be animal communicators. At Luminous, we raise our puppies using the FlowState Tuning Method from the time they are in the womb. We aim to help them move through challenging situations gracefully so they grow into resilient, well-adjusted adults.

I believe anyone can learn to speak animal

It’s a language you can learn in the same way you could learn to speak Portuguese or Swahili. It’s actually easier than that if you know what to look for because you already use this language in your interactions with others every single day. My job is just to help you recognize what you are doing NATURALLY.

I love singing with animals. I gotta say, there is something about the satisfaction that comes from forging a deep and trusting connection with an animal that is incomparably rewarding for both them and you. It not only brings healing to the animal, but to our own spirits too.

The freedom you feel when you connect with animals is part of your true nature. One of the things animals do for us is help us get back in touch with the organic part of ourselves we often forget about in our busy human lives. If you take the time to connect with animals, to slow down and listen, you may just discover…
